Educational institutions all over the world have been instrumental in bringing about a change in environmental policies. They have been more responsible than the corporates when it came to implementing new government regulations about environment. However, their impact is not considered vital because they do not generate as much as the corporates do.
Educational institutions have an another advantage. They can be tools to being about a paradigm shift in the mindset of young children. Students are at an impressionable age when they are in their schools and colleges. This is the age when it is possible to drive into them that environment is not your next big charity. However, our courses and syllabus as of this moment are monotonous to say the least and not exactly the material needed to inspire students to be the next Greta Thunberg.
